European Media Artists in Residence Exchange EMARE + EMARE REGIO 2011


Hello,

The European Media Art Network is offering 6 residencies in England, Germany, France and the Netherlands to European artists With support of the City of Utrecht, the Arts Council of England and the regional municipalities of Saxony-Anhalt in Germany and Centre in France in 2011. Europe based Media Artists in the fields of digital media including internet and computer based art, filmmakers, sound and video artists are invited to apply for a two months artist residency at IMPAKT, Utrecht, Netherlands; Bandit Mages, Bourges, France; FACT and Abandon Normal Devices Festival, Liverpool, United Kingdom or at Werkleitz Centre for Media Arts in Halle, Germany. Students are not permitted, but young artists encouraged. The sub programme EMARE REGIO invites also students from the regions of Centre, France and Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Artistis will get a grant of up to 2.000 Euro, free accommodation, up to 250 Euro travel expenses, access to the technical facilities and media labs and a professional presentation.

Entries should include the application form (downloadable from the website), a CV, (audio) visual reference projects documentation (no originals) and a proposal sketch for the project which should be developed within EMARE.

Deadline to apply is 20 December 2010
