On behalf of Crescer Sem Risco from the island Madeira, the Richter Foundation from the Netherlands and U-GO from Scotland I want to invite you to participate in the training:

Local and International Volunteering: A Measure of Quality Youth Work

The training is organized in the context of the EU’s Youth in Action programme and it will take on the island Madeira (Portugal) from 18th to 24th September 2011

Local and International Volunteering – A Measure of Quality Youth Work will be a 5 day training course for youth workers which supports them in developing the skills to recruit, train and manage young people as volunteers within their own organisations. The training will focus on volunteers from all backgrounds within the participants’ own target groups, including those with fewer opportunities; and on using the European Voluntary Service (EVS) as a mechanism for hosting volunteers within their own organisations as well as a way of sending young people to work in organisations in other parts of Europe. The impact of the training will thus be not only on participants, who will have the opportunity to develop themselves, but also on the target groups of the organizations that they represent.

We have a limit of 20 places available and only EU member countries can apply for this training.

How to apply

If you would like to take part in the training please complete the application form and Part III and send them by e-mail by Wednesday 12 January 2011 to Helena@crescersemrisco.com with the phrase Local and International Volunteering in the header box.
